Anti-wrinkle

Anti-wrinkle

Anti-wrinkle injections are a way to eliminate unwanted fine lines and wrinkles on the facial area. The most common areas to be treated on the facial area is the forehead, frown, and crow’s feet.

During normal facial movements lines, known as dynamic wrinkles, can appear. Repetitive facial movement over time forms deeper lines creating more static wrinkles. Anti-wrinkle injections help to prevent the formation of static wrinkles. This treatment is best used as a preventative measure.

Anti-wrinkle works by relaxing the targeted area muscle, which blocks your nerves and muscles signal pathway. Without the nerves signal the muscle relaxes and cease contracting which leads to softening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The minimised movement in the muscle helps put less stress on the skin and helps to make you look fresher and more youthful. The results of anti-wrinkle last from 3- 4 months depending on each individual at which point the treatment can be repeated if desired.

It’s important to note that results from anti-wrinkle injections are not immediate and can take up to 14 days to see full results.

A 14-day review appointment is required. At this appointment your results will be reviewed and a top up will be administered if required.

Lip Flip

A lip flip involves precise placement of a few units of anti-wrinkle treatment along the upper lip muscle known as the orbicularis muscle. The effect is that the targeted muscle begins to relax, this will help flip the lip upwards, creating a fuller, plumper but natural appearing upper lip. Results last from 2-3 months.

Masseter

Jawline Slimming – or masseters reduction for cosmetic purposes – is a simple yet effective procedure that works by using Anti-Wrinkle Injections to relax enlarged masseter muscles to create a narrower jawline.

The masseter muscles are attached to your jaw and control all the movements related to chewing food. For some people, strong jaw muscles are part of their natural anatomy. However, for others a square jawline is the result of a condition called Bruxism, which causes excessive teeth grinding or clenching.

With overuse from habitual teeth clenching or grinding, the masseter muscles become over developed and more pronounced, causing the shape of the lower face to develop in that strong ‘square-jawed’ look.

Anti-wrinkle injections can be used to relax and reduce the size of these muscles, softening the appearance of the jawline. Creating a narrower jawline in turn results in more prominent cheek bones and chin. Relaxing these muscles can feminise the face as a stronger more developed jawline is more typical for a masculine appearance.

Results usually last about three – four months. If the area is treated as soon as the muscles start to move, then the muscles are slower to regain their ‘memory’. This means after several treatments the interval between the treatments should become longer.

Hyperhidrosis

Sweating is our body’s natural way of maintaining the right temperature. Exercise, stress, and hot weather can all increase sweat production. Anti-wrinkle injections can be used to treat excess sweating under the arms. In Hyperhidrosis, certain sweat glands work overtime for no apparent reason, producing sweat that you don’t need – ‘excess sweat’.

Excess-Sweat Injections use the same technology as Anti-Wrinkle Injections to block the messaging between the nerves and the sweat glands under the armpits rather than the nerves and the muscles. By blocking this message, the injections prevent the glands being triggered and therefore they produce less sweat.

If you experience Hyperhidrosis and this is impacting your self-esteem, confidence, and personal relationships, then Excess-Sweat Injections can provide relief.

Excess sweat injection results can last from anything between 4 – 12 months.
